It has come to my attention that the year 2017 has almost hit its mid-point and with that in mind, I figured I’d recap what has happened movie wise this year so far. This post is inspired by the popular Mid-Year Book Freak Out tag that I’ve seen around in the book community but since I’m still all about being a movie blogger at heart, I decided to turn it into a Midyear Movie Madness instead. So this is a post that will recap the last 6 months of 2017 in terms of movies, and to make things more interesting, I’m only sticking to movies I saw in the theater!
There are a few spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned.
A hero among heroes is told to be have formed of clay and brought to life by Zeus himself. This hero is curious, kind and wants to see only the good in the world. This hero also has to earn the right to wield a weapon, to learn how to fight, to become stronger and this against the wishes of someone who wants to keep the hero safe. Most importantly, this hero has also been blind to the horrors of the outside world, protected by the utopia created for these warrior heroes. So when the world comes crashing through into the hero’s perfect life, the need to protect, to help and to care for those who cannot do it themselves, guides our hero to mend the world. But what makes this hero more special than all the others who have saved lives and protected the weak, is not just the kindness and the heart, but the utmost belief that life is full of wonder! This hero’s named Diana.
Seven is my favourite number. Not sure if it has any relation to the magical number seven featured in fairytales but I’ve always had a weird connection with this number. I like it, and not because it might feel magical, I just.. it’s a special number for me. So when I saw that this week’s Commercial Break was going to be a double seven – I freaked out, because there’s nothing special about these past few weeks. So I did what I could, I added pretty pictures to make things more special.
Since nothing important has happened in these past few weeks, I again skipped a week and bringing you a recap of the past two weeks. Nothing has happened really, but then again, nothing ever really happens with my life these days. I just work, read, and wait for my still pending operation which means I’ve now officially been waiting for 1,5 months – past the time I was promised to have this operation. Oh, the health care system is so much fun.
