We are almost half way through 2019 and, to be honest, besides Endgame and an Estonian film, the movies have been a little underwhelming. At least the ones I’ve seen, which is not many, less than 20. Shazam wasn’t bad either but like I said, nothing but the two I mentioned have blown me away. Which is why I’m looking forward to these five movies and hoping that all of them will blow me away!
For most, it’s the season of rain and cold symptoms, which is the perfect time to watch movies! That logic works, right!? Let’s just say it does. Plus, the blockbuster season has passed, so it’s time for all the award thirsty releases! In other words, here are my top 5 picks from the upcoming fall movies.
We lack the time to watch everything we want to, we have to prioritise and that is why I skimmed down my weekly TV schedule over the years. I just wanted to replace shows with books, and with that, I stopped watching bad TV, mediocre shows and even some good ones. Also, I’m much better with binge watching so sticking to something every week feels too stressful. Yet, there have been regrets, and here is a list of five shows that I stopped watching but am thinking about catching up with.
In this week’s Across the Universe podcast episode we discuss Summer blockbusters we are excited to see with Katy from Oh So Geeky. In theme with that, I’m bringing you five movies I most likely won’t see this summer. May it be uninteresting, may it be a genre I’m not spending my ticket money on, you name it. Sometimes movies simply don’t call out your name, and these five haven’t even whispered to me.
In 2013, Netflix premiered its first original TV series House of Cards, which was just the beginning for this global movie and TV-show provider. In March this year, Netflix released Flaked, its 20th original series not including the animated and kids shows. Though I haven’t seen all of them, I have seen just enough to compile a this top 5 list of my favorite Netflix original shows.
Nothing like a bad movie to ruin your day, or your week and if it festers in your mind long enough, it might even spoil an entire month. And yet, I’m drawn to them like a moth to a flame, even though watching through them is torture and not the fifty shades kind of way. This is a list of five 2015 releases that I saw and have regretted watching ever since.
When I knew my brain wasn’t going to be able to construct a proper review, I knew it was time to share my Top 4 Summer TV newcomers from this year. As you can see, it’s not a typical post since, for the life of me, I couldn’t make it into a Top 5. But the shows that did make the cut, well, they are special and different and two of them just represent the kind of entertainment one wants during a summer – something light and easy.
Some years ago there was an ultimate boom of reality television and what started with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie has evolved into housewives, toddlers and what I can only describe as stupid people saying stupid things. Still, despite the fact that I stay far away from those Jersey Shore Kardashian Honey Boo-Boos, I do enjoy competitive reality television a lot so here are my top 5 shows I’ve enjoyed in the past or still adore.
Writing a blog is fun, it’s hard work but at the end of the day, it’s fun! As you all know, I’ve been running Mettel Ray for five years now and during those five long years, I’ve learned some things. Big things, important things and sometimes, little things that I can’t help to shake off as irrelevant. So here are those little things that I’ve learned.
This is my 700th post and what better way to celebrate yet another milestone than to look back and realize how much you’ve grown over the years. When I started, I was pretty much a rookie at everything, including expressing my thoughts and now, after writing hundreds of posts, I can say I’ve reached a place in my life where I can honestly say I’m proud of my ability to write coherent and meaningful paragraphs. So to give myself a little pat on the back, I’m going to share my favorite posts I’ve written among all the 700 here on Mettel Ray.
