Yaaas, it’s that time of the month again! And by that, I don’t mean me, I mean the Thursday Movie Picks and its Television Edition! I love this feature and this week’s theme had so many juicy options for me that I literally CROSSED out shows in order to compile this list. That’s right, I didn’t even struggle to get this list together, I just kept listing shows and then picked the four that really deliver the whole family vibe. The selection also includes all shows that have been off the air for some time now, and I miss them deeply.
This is probably my favourite theme among this year’s television picks because I have so many shows to choose from! I’m literally wondering how many I can fit into this category and I guess the number could be huge – but I’m keeping a few for other themes because girl plans ahead! Therefore, this list has only five picks for this week but I swear, there’s something for everyone here with the theme being so god damn juicy! PS: Happy new school year to all the students and teachers out there, stay strong and educate on!
This is probably the hardest television challenge I have to endure this year because I do not watch any television shows that are non-English. And, to make matters worse, I don’t even watch Estonian shows, which could make this list easily the simplest. But no such luck and I have to wiggle myself out of this one by creating a theme into a theme! In other words, all my picks for this week’s shows are English versions of non-English television shows!
The time has come for another television recommendation post and this one has me in a pickle because I desperately want to avoid recommending Grey’s Anatomy. Like, sure, I could say that the first half of that show was good, but looking back, I dislike the show for all its melodrama and I don’t want anything to do with it this week. Also, I don’t really want to be stuck with the “drama” part because I have a comedic pick for this week that I have wanted to mention so many times now, and I don’t want to miss this chance!
PS: I haven’t seen enough of ER to mention it here either. It ran on TV when I was a kid so I caught a few episodes here and there but to say I watched an entire season would be lying. So.. not mentioning that one either.
Another last Thursday of the month and it means it’s time for some television recommendations – the post I love the most even though I sometimes struggle with the theme. This time around the theme was time travel, which turned out to be quite a good one for me. Especially considering the fact that all these shows in my list are really really good in my opinion. And surprise surprise, I actually managed to list four shows this week because there was a time when a lot of time travel was happening on TV, and because I could not not mention any of these.
Back at it again (because I’m clearly way more exhausted than I thought because I posted this on a Wednesday… ) and I can’t wait to share with you three police-oriented TV shows. From which, by the way, I love two very much and both happen to be Canadian. So in case you were wondering, who does police-shows the best, my answer would be Canadians!
Sometimes I like to think that I’m quite well experienced with television shows, even though I’m not watching them as often nowadays because I don’t have enough time. But I used to watch a lot of shows, and I know what shows are currently out there, even though I’m not watching them! Yet, despite all of this, and while I was watching 40 shows a week way back when, I rarely tuned in for period dramas… so I had quite a limited list to pick for this week.
Here we go again, my favourite week of Thursday Movie Picks, the Television Edition week which gives me an opportunity to put to use my extensive knowledge of TV shows. This week’s theme though is a difficult one, because again, there is always the chance to list all well known shows *cough* Marvel *cough* but where’s the fun in doing that!? Here are four less known television shows that feature various characters with awesome super powers.
Few times, last year, I recommended TV shows as part of my Thursday Movie Picks because I thought why not and now Wandering Through the Shelves has decided to add it as part of the series! So every last Thursday of the month, everyone participating will recommend television shows according to the theme. It is a wonderful addition, and honestly, I’m a little scared because I have definitely seen a lot of shows! A lot! And considering science fiction is one of my favourite genres, just so you know, this list feels very important to me. But, I also wanted to recommend shows that not everyone has heard of, so…
