Alright, I’m breaking all the rules this week! Which, ironically, is what special agents and spies usually do. They have all these rules for being a spy, they get a mission, then they go off the map and break all the rules. It’s a multilayered post here on Mettel Ray this week. Also, I’m time traveling in all the shows because that’s my theme within a theme this week. Plus I’m mentioning a show I’ve already mentioned and a show I haven’t fully even seen. I’m channeling spy energy and going off mission.
Another last Thursday of the month and it means it’s time for some television recommendations – the post I love the most even though I sometimes struggle with the theme. This time around the theme was time travel, which turned out to be quite a good one for me. Especially considering the fact that all these shows in my list are really really good in my opinion. And surprise surprise, I actually managed to list four shows this week because there was a time when a lot of time travel was happening on TV, and because I could not not mention any of these.
Last week was… it was mentally exhausting and it didn’t help that I worked six days out of the possible seven. I’m surprised I survived. I’m surprised that I managed to finish two books.. even though they were again adult romance novels which have become favourites as well as enemies this year. Honestly people, I need to pick up fantasy and I need to finish The Wise Man’s Fear! But before I get back to reading, here is a quick summary of the last two weeks.
It has become a tradition of sorts to assemble these types of lists every now and then, to have some clarity for the fall/winter and spring/summer TV schedule. This time, I have left things to the last minute and instead of predictions, I have already an idea what I will keep watching, what won’t make the cut, what I still might try out and what shows from the past are still relevant.
