So tired I’m not even show how to function. Therefore I figured I was going for a title and Youtube video only this week but then I remembered, I actually have made a post similar to this theme TV Score and/or Theme Song. So if this sounds familiar, it’s because I copy-pasted my 2020 post called Top 5 TV-Show Theme Songs That I’m Currently Obsessed With. This list still counts because I like all these songs still. Anyway, these are theme songs I liked a year ago and still do. (Thank god, I didn’t have the brain power to think of anything new to say this week…)
Recently I discovered that I have been enjoying quite a lot of theme songs. Like, enjoying to a point where I don’t even fast forward the opening credits because I want to hear the song. So I wanted to share them with you guys. Which, ironically, makes this week very music oriented with Thursday Movie Picks focusing on unforgettable film scores. Anyway, here are five TV-show theme songs I’ve recently enjoyed and loved!
It’s been another hot minute since the last Commercial Break. I’ve been somewhat off-center with my time management lately and kept pushing writing into tomorrow’s duties. Now it’s been three weeks, most of January is gone and it feels like I’m rusty again. No worries though, it was all part of a plan. Because Commercial Break will from now be a monthly feature. Why? Well, let me explain…
Without any doubt, I should have been sleeping during the time I actually wrote this post but instead, I just sat down to fangirl because that is my life now. I wake up, I go to work, I come home, shower, and I sit down at half past one to type incoherent thoughts about Frank Castle and his endless supply of grunts. [grunts passionately]
Even though I felt like crap at the end of last week, tired and stressed out, I still had a pretty successful week. I managed to watch a few movies, got further with Crazy-Ex Girlfriend, and by some miracle, and borrowing greatly from sleep, I finished three books! This week is hopefully going to be no different, except maybe more sleep and less stress.
Technically, Netflix didn’t get me by the balls because I have none but it felt like the best possible phrasing for this week’s Commercial Break. Why? Well, I imagine it’s like that feeling of somebody holding your boobs for a really long time, at first you’re like “yes, finally some action”! So you let it happen for a few hours but around hour 8 you start to resent this act of your boobs being held and yourself as well but you feel like once it stops, you’ll feel worse. What I’m saying is that I should have renamed the title to “Netflix Got Me By the Boobs”.
Past few weeks have been quiet here on Mettel Ray because I’ve been feeling a bit off lately. It’s nothing serious, no health related things, just an off month it seems. But that being said, I’ll try to put as much effort in to at least posting Thursday Movie Picks each week, and then Commercial Breaks as well if I have time to sit down properly. Reviews.. well, we’ll see.
Last year I mentioned Comic-Con in my Commercial Break but I’m upping my game this year and dedicating an entire post to it! That’s right, a post filled with stuff that was released during Comic-Con! This post will cover mostly trailer reactions, good and bad, and a few panel discussions, those of which I was the most interested in. And as it turns out I was rather interested in a lot of things, because there are 20 talking points total! Good luck!
THIS POST HAS SPOILERS AND SOME HEAVY FANGIRLING
Since Daredevil decidedly is by far my favorite Netflix original series, I expected to be blown away by its second season. The truth is, I ended up being really disappointed in so many things while, at the same time, being completely in love with one character in particular. So at the end of season 2, I have mixed feelings about our Hell’s Kitchen superhero, his friends, his enemies and his actions.
