So Monday was the big day, I had a big Christmas party at work and the Breaking Emotions Blogathon closed up. To be honest, the blogathon participation was better than I expected but I must have underestimated the commitment of blogging since I myself have somehow fallen into the trap of struggling to find time to write blog posts. That being said, I figured what better way to say farewell to a blogathon than to take part in an Alphabet Movie Meme by Katy from The Drama Lama.
As you can see, this is the beginning of a set of TOP 10’s that will appear until a new year will come along (today, tomorrow, 28th, 31st and January 1st) and everything starts all over again. To say at least, I’m very excited to end off this year and also welcome new beginnings: 2012 has been extremely amazing! To celebrate this occasion I decided to put together five lists of things that I missed, I loved, I loved some more, I reviewed and I managed to achieve with this blog. Are you excited? I am! So let’s begin and take this blog from 2012 to 2013 with a solid TOP 10 bang!
Lets talk about this year’s most thrilling movie – at least based on the near 12 million views of one specific YouTube trailer video. 12 million times the trailer has been watched. 12 million. Think about how many people are waiting for this movie coming out which is in December !!! and then a year later for the second part to be released as well. Interestingly enough, both movies are filmed back to back until March and there is also an official site that has production videos. So The Hobbit wanted a lot of attention and it certainly has a lot of it – and there is no reason why it should not have.
The trailer itself is simple, basically shows the beginning of the story that comes before the Lord of The Rings trilogy. Based on the success Peter Jackson had with the last movie and looking at the budget (for two parts 500 million total) I am pretty sure that this will be an awesome movie theater experience cause all signs point to the very same fact.
