No you are not losing your mind, it really isn’t Thursday.. I’m just very late. This week was weird and I just didn’t have the time to write up the post. Worst book to movie adaptations have been on my mind all week though so I figured I’ll post a bit later. It’s the first time I’m so late to post my Thursday Movie Picks but I didn’t want to make it my first ever skip in years either. Anyway, here are my picks for worst book to movie adaptations. And as always, I’ve added my little twist and made it a theme within a theme.
Out of all the reoccurring themes during Thursday Movie Picks, I think Seven Deadly Sins is my favourite. I just love how specific it is and yet it gives so much room for interpretation. This week we are looking at gluttony – the need to have more than necessary. It is very similar to greed in my opinion so it’s going to be interesting to see how I interpret the latter in April. That being said, with the image from Se7en lodged in my brain, I went for a more glamours angle. Here are my three recommendations for the gluttony theme.
Well this is an interesting week because I put down all the movies that fit the theme and realised I accidentally had a theme within a theme. It’s nothing special but I think it’s funny how all my movies this week begin with the letter “G”. Oh, and to make it even more special, my actual name starts with a letter “G” as well!
It comes with the territory of running a movie blog that one has to do a retrospective list (or two) about movies they loved and/or hated in the soon to be ending year. Well, though I’m super bad at making ranked lists (it’s impossible for me), I still felt the obligation of sharing my favorites and less favorites from 2013 – a year where I managed to watch a little over 100 movies!
