Did I forget? Yes. Did I still have 50 minutes of Thursday left to pen and post this? Yes. So here we go. If it feels like I’m not making sense it’s because I rushed through this like crazy. I need to start scheduling these things. Anyway we have friends to lovers trope for this weeks romance theme. Friends to lovers is not as tasty as enemies to lovers but it’s still sweet. Though again, I like the contrast more than I like the sweet progression from friends to lovers but why am I spending so much time on this when I only have 48 minutes of Thursday left. Here we go.
With September nearing, school is on many of our minds. For me it’s not necessarily about starting school or having somebody to send to school but mostly the idea of starting fresh. I feel like the energy from summer just gives fall a nice push. Anyway for today’s theme I went with movies that revolve around school. As always I added my own little theme within a theme.
Happy birthday to Mettel Ray! My blog-baby is 10 years old today and I couldn’t describe my emotions even if I tried. It’s definitely a special day! Which is why I decided, due to the special occasion, that instead of just celebrating my blogiversary on May 1st, I’d prolong the celebrations to last for 10 days. That’s right, you’re getting 10 days of Mettel Ray Top 10 lists. It will be all very random, just like me, and the topics will range from movies, shows, music, books etc. First up, probably the hardest list I had to compile because there are a lot of movies I rewatch… but here are 10 movies that I love to go back to every now and then.
Honestly, I had to use the Internet for this one because while there are of course the obvious adaptations, I didn’t want to pick between them and instead, picked between the not so obvious ones that might appeal to the younger generation (as it did when I was a teenager). So with a little help from my all knowing friend, I tracked down three picks that are not so much Shakespeare but a little outside the box. PS: Yes, I have seen Romeo + Juliet, but I didn’t really care for it… even though Leo looked amazing in it – sorry!
