This week I felt like not aiming for a theme within a theme because all three of these are completely different. These are the three competitive reality shows I’ve watched more than a season worth, followed almost religiously at some point and all that I’ve lost interest in at the moment. So, I guess I do have a theme within a theme for this week. Anyway, these competitive reality shows are not even in the same ball park. They are also from three different continents..
Well, hello again! I know I’ve been a sh*tty blogger these past few months and trust me, when I say, it’s killing me. But the stress and new work is really kicking my butt. Time management has never been my strong suit either, so it’s a bit difficult for me to balance it all. But let me just try to rock July and bring you everything I’ve wanted to in the past few months. Hopefully you’ll still be here to witness it.

Last week was quite something, saw two movies, watched an entire television season, sprained my ankle and finished two books. I like the addition of the sprained ankle to my health history, because I’m not much of a sporty person so I’ve never had any proper physical injuries. Now I can say I have a sprained ankle for the first time in my life, sadly it was not a sex injury, like someone suggested (you know who you are!). Plus, it turns out, sprained ankles are not fun! They hurt like hell, I almost blacked out from pain, and it’s impossible to walk – just what I needed to spice up my life!

Another week has passed and I’m still reading Stephen King’s It – it’s my own personal horror story and I can’t seem to get out of it. It’s not that the book is bad, I enjoy it a lot, but I’m simply not sitting down to read these days. And I’m just frustrated by the fact that soon it will be a month of no work, and I’ve read almost one book total. I read more while I work 60 hours a week which is quite ironic but then again, my life is full of irony.
Since nothing important has happened in these past few weeks, I again skipped a week and bringing you a recap of the past two weeks. Nothing has happened really, but then again, nothing ever really happens with my life these days. I just work, read, and wait for my still pending operation which means I’ve now officially been waiting for 1,5 months – past the time I was promised to have this operation. Oh, the health care system is so much fun.
I know I know, it’s Sunday and I’m posting a Commercial Break but considering what I have planned for tomorrow, Mettel Ray’s 7th birthday, I wanted to get my weekly thoughts out before that happens. And yes, there is something fun coming up for May, and I will try to get all the posts done and scheduled some time next weekend. I’ve got a lot of planned but due to my hectic past two weeks, I’ve not been able to actually execute these plans. Thank god I was wise enough to plan the posts for next week in advance, because I would have been extremely disappointed if I had missed tomorrow’s post because of my work. Anyway, enough of me rambling on, here are some of the things that have happened over these two weeks.
This week, for some odd reason, felt rougher than it should have felt. I only had four days where I had to go to work, but for some reason these days managed to train me empty. But I won’t let it phase me, and I’m excited to have three days off to catch up with my posts, and possibly read a book or two.
Some years ago there was an ultimate boom of reality television and what started with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie has evolved into housewives, toddlers and what I can only describe as stupid people saying stupid things. Still, despite the fact that I stay far away from those Jersey Shore Kardashian Honey Boo-Boos, I do enjoy competitive reality television a lot so here are my top 5 shows I’ve enjoyed in the past or still adore.
