With the sudden passing of Chadwick Boseman I decided to dedicate Hidden Gems September to him. Honouring his movies, some of them he made while battling cancer, because that’s literally all I can do. There are no words to describe the sadness I felt while watching this months’ movies. It was… for a lack of a better word – heartbreaking.
To redeem myself from the fact that I didn’t use any Chris Evans images to create the features for this series (I’M SO SORRY, I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING), I’m dedicating an entire post to the man. The man being Chris Evans and his beloved Marvel character, Captain America. As many of you might know already, I’m a huge fan of Evans as well as Captain America – who also happens to be my favourite superhero. Duh. So without further ado, here are my 10 favourite Captain America moments for 10 For 10.
I was walking out from Infinity War after 2 hours and 29 minutes without saying a word. Not because I had lost my voice a day before, but because there were people heading to watch the Infinity War, and I was not about to ruin the movie for them. Once in a safe distance, I let it all out! Oh and there was a lot to let out!
After every Marvel movie, I have either the urge to write a review or I don’t. With Black Panther I still felt a little confused about which way to go for a long time. As you are reading this, I have decided to write a review, but I am still a little hesitant.
Without any doubt, I should have been sleeping during the time I actually wrote this post but instead, I just sat down to fangirl because that is my life now. I wake up, I go to work, I come home, shower, and I sit down at half past one to type incoherent thoughts about Frank Castle and his endless supply of grunts. [grunts passionately]
We start off the year with an Oscar race that has our hearts beating erratically because this might be Leonardo DiCaprio’s year, and it was. He won, he got that Oscar, he held that Oscar, he took that Oscar with him to show off to his supermodels and polish on his yacht while the sun cast golden streaks of light onto Leo’s face. But as soon as the blockbuster movies started to roll in, as soon as the superheros began to gather, Leo was slowly forgotten.
So many news from Comic Con happened last week that I’m not sure were to start. And since I was at work, I of course missed most of these news and got to catch up today.
By now I’ve finally seen The Avengers: Age of Ultron (expect a review next week) and to celebrate this fine occasion, I decided to rank my favorite superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First of all, it was so hard and secondly, that’s what she said! Seriously though, it was probably the hardest Top 5 list that goes up this week but I think this is currently how I feel about all the superheroes in this universe.
In just 2 days, Avengers will premier in Estonia (including in the cinema of my college town) and I guess it is an understatement if I say that I am excited. I am a fan of Marvel especially but I enjoy all the action heroes and their life of torture. This summer is filled with not only the team of Avengers but The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises are opening in July as well. How super-fantastic is that? So while everybody are patiently waiting to see what the remake of the Spider-Man will bring us and how will the trilogy of Nolan’s Batman come to an end, I thought some visual imagesposters will fit right in here.
Posters of all the superhero movies (I could come up with), all their sequels and the upcoming ones in no particular order (don’t give me hard time in case I forgot some of them, there are just so many, plus I didn’t add those I haven’t watched):
