Considering the fact that Horror Edition is yearly and takes up five weeks I should be more prepared, right? Well I don’t know how to prepare, apparently. So for this week I watched three fairly recent snow / winter related horror movies. One of them was not good, the other was garbage and the third hit the spot. Meaning instead of recommendations, come join me this week for three mini-reviews. Theme within a theme besides the snow / winter is the fact that all three have cool movie posters. Not to mention the mini reviews. That’s a whole new experience here on Thursday that might become more common here in October if I keep not watching enough horror movies during the year.
It’s another Halloween Edition time and this week we are looking into true stories! This will definitely be a hard week for me because being not so experienced with the horror genre I have limited choices. So I went with sort of a vague route. Here are three horror movies that have elements which are based on true stories. Some bigger, some smaller.
It seemed like yesterday we were getting ready for 2019 Halloween but here we are again. Thursday Movie Picks focuses on horror in October and first up are horror movie houses. Now this seems to me more like a deco recommendation than a movie one. I love that though! So I dug deep and tried to think of horror movie houses that are creepy as hell. Putting aside the movies almost completely. So here are three horror movie houses that I would love to stay away from!
Alright, so before this morning I had a plan for this post but since time’s not my friend today, I’m keeping it simple. Here are my three recommendations that are movies, not based, but inspired by real life serial killers. Which is why Zodiac is not in this list because let’s be honest, that would be THE recommendation this week otherwise.
It’s November?!? Oh how the time flies. Especially when one takes a somewhat unexpected sort of a (but not really) break from blogging. But breaks are important. Breaks allow us to recharge, regroup and re-energise our lives. So I’m hoping to be a bit more lively in November, even though I have a super busy month ahead. But I had a feeling I needed to bring back Commercial Break today!
It’s that time of the year again.. where I struggle every week because my horror knowledge is still limited. It’s gotten better! But it’s still not enough to fill four weeks of horror related context. In other words, let’s get ready for my struggle! First up, home invasion horror films that make us feel a lot less safe at our homes.
