Well, here we are, back at it with a Commercial Break. I know I promised to make these monthly but I like to fail apparently. This week though, I’m bringing you the first Commercial Break of 2020! It is basically a catch up and a monthly summary of how crazy my February was. I ended up seeing quite a lot, I finished books!, and overall, had a fun time.
Well, hello again! I know I’ve been a sh*tty blogger these past few months and trust me, when I say, it’s killing me. But the stress and new work is really kicking my butt. Time management has never been my strong suit either, so it’s a bit difficult for me to balance it all. But let me just try to rock July and bring you everything I’ve wanted to in the past few months. Hopefully you’ll still be here to witness it.
It’s time to sit back, grab some coffee (or tea), and dive into a massive post called Commercial Break. This time I look back to 1,5 months of movies, shows, books and music. Which, honestly, is a lot of things to discuss in one post. But if I can write it, you can read it! By the way, I’m skipping the life stuff because it’s been a little rocky lately. So let’s stick with the professional blog related stuff.
It’s been another hot minute since the last Commercial Break. I’ve been somewhat off-center with my time management lately and kept pushing writing into tomorrow’s duties. Now it’s been three weeks, most of January is gone and it feels like I’m rusty again. No worries though, it was all part of a plan. Because Commercial Break will from now be a monthly feature. Why? Well, let me explain…
It’s November?!? Oh how the time flies. Especially when one takes a somewhat unexpected sort of a (but not really) break from blogging. But breaks are important. Breaks allow us to recharge, regroup and re-energise our lives. So I’m hoping to be a bit more lively in November, even though I have a super busy month ahead. But I had a feeling I needed to bring back Commercial Break today!
Last week was a walk in the park – which means I had two days of work (both quite busy and long), and then a whole lot of time to spend. Most of that time was spent on books, which I’m not mad at. I also watched two shows and a movie. So, a pretty decent but a bit of a boring week.
Way back in February, when I had a lot of time on my hands, I wrapped up January like a champ. Then, I sort of forgot about it and now I’m bringing the wrap up back. In other words, I’m wrapping up the entire month of June – from movies to shows to books to songs! With a bit of commentary on each of the things I saw, read and listened, and links to possible reviews and such. So take a look at everything I experienced in June, and apparently, there was a lot!
Sitting down to write these weekly posts (sometimes cramping two or three weeks into one post, this time including an unpublished CB draft!), I always struggle to remember what I have been up to. Good thing I log almost everything into online platforms, such as Letterboxd and Goodreads. Now I only need to start keep track of my shows better, and I’m good to go. Anyway, here are two+two weeks worth of rambles.
The incredible feature image is by Luna Roveda.
What started off as a slow and disappointing week, ended with me being sick, reading a book, finishing my work, and perving out to a movie with Chris Evans. So all in all, I would say it was a good week. This one, oh but this one, is going to be a hell of a week for me… and us… and all the Marvel fans – it’s Infinity War Week!!
Welcome readers, I’m back again to deliver the weekly recap of my last week. This week again was filled with work, a bit of fun, and a lot of Chris Evans. And when I say “a lot”, I mean the fact that the movie I watched had him naked pretty much the entire time. Now that’s the kind of movies Marvel should be making!
