Blogathon: White Swan, Black Swan

POSTERSati over at Cinematic Corner started a new blogathon called White Swan, Black Swan and it embodies the idea of duality embedded into a single character. In other words, a character who has different sides to him or her, a character that might seem white to others but is actually black under the surface. An idea that is very interesting so obviously I had to participate, so here’s my take on the blogathon with a tiny little twist.

The Five Senses Blogathon

taste

Time to put that brain of mine to some good use while coming up with solid answers for this awesome blogathon My Filmviews has come up with! The Five Senses Blogathon, as it is evident from its title, is all about getting up and personal with your bodily sensations and everything movie related that associates to them. And trust me, it isn’t as easy as it sounds when you start thinking about movies and touching…

Six Degrees of Separation

6degrees

Talk about a good time in the blogging community, so many great blogathons are going around and I’m so grateful I get to be a part of them. Six Degrees of Separation by Nostra at My Filmviews is another fine example of an awesome idea that actually proves a point, a point where anyone is connected to anyone in six or less steps. That, or everybody is Kevin Bacon. Though I really wanted to stay away from IMDb with this challenge, I couldn’t because Nikhat from Being Norma Jeane didn’t pass me with a simple task at all, considering my lack of knowledge about the classics.

Actors/Actresses I Would See In About Anything (10 Things)

title

Karamel Kinema was kind enough to forward me this cool blogathon that is all about those actors & actresses that one would watch in about anything. This idea originated with Abbi at Where the Wild Things Are, and this marks my first “passing the torch” blogathon I’ve ever been included in so I’m super excited. Though many of the current participants have kept the list strictly masculine, I’m gonna give it my best to include some lovely ladies in mine as well (as it was originally intended as well!).

Against the Crowd Blogathon

against the crowd blogathon

I love me some blogathons and when a great one comes a long it’s hard not to jump on board with the idea. Dell on Movies has come up with the Against the Crowd blogathon which, as some might have guessed, is about going against those popular opinions we seem to have roaming around and taking a stance against great movies while protecting the ones that might not be the best but still worth some love.

Katy’s Blockbusted Blogathon

Just my luck guys! After coming back from the hibernation, my laptop decided it was time to give up on me and well, it doesn’t look good. Not only did I loose a large amount of important stuff, I was also stripped away from my image-editing software and blog writing possibilities away from home. Not sure how or when I will get my laptop back, if I get it back, but here’s  a fun blogathon to distract you from my life-issues.

TDL’s Alphabet Movie Meme

main image

So Monday was the big day, I had a big Christmas party at work and the Breaking Emotions Blogathon closed up. To be honest, the blogathon participation was better than I expected but I must have underestimated the commitment of blogging since I myself have somehow fallen into the trap of struggling to find time to write blog posts. That being said, I figured what better way to say farewell to a blogathon than to take part in an Alphabet Movie Meme by Katy from The Drama Lama.
