We are here, the final post, the last top 10 for 10 For 10 blog anniversary celebration. Thank you all for dropping by, for reading, for commenting. It’s been a hell of a 10 days and I can’t believe I did it… For my last post I decided to type up the inevitable list of top 10 of my favourite movies from 2019. I haven’t had the chance to see all the movies I planned (some probably top 10 worthy) but I did get to see some great ones. Thank you again guys, for being here! Here’s to another 10 years! (God, I’m gonna be so old by then..) Oh and do let me know which was your favourite top 10 list!
To redeem myself from the fact that I didn’t use any Chris Evans images to create the features for this series (I’M SO SORRY, I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING), I’m dedicating an entire post to the man. The man being Chris Evans and his beloved Marvel character, Captain America. As many of you might know already, I’m a huge fan of Evans as well as Captain America – who also happens to be my favourite superhero. Duh. So without further ado, here are my 10 favourite Captain America moments for 10 For 10.
Get ready to cry! Well, or at least get emotional because I’m bringing you my top 10 movie scenes that make me emotional. Like, not just mildly emotional, heavily emotional. Yes, I might have cried even while making this list. I have no shame. Showing emotions is good, being emotional is healthy… at least that’s what I say to myself when I tear up about literally everything.
So we are back at it with the books but this time, I’m talking about book adaptations that have not yet happened. A warning though, this is a list mostly about fantasy books I really love. And I must clarify, when I mean movies, I probably mean movie franchises and when I mean movie franchises, I could also mean shows. But since I’ve done so many TV show posts already, I figured I should up my movie game for 10 For 10. Anyway, any adaptation of these 10 wonderful books would work. Thank you.
Thinking about the TV-shows I’ve reviewed recently (there haven’t been many), I always seem to talk about Netflix shows. Like generally, most of my reviews are on Netflix shows and even though I watch a lot of other shows too, they rarely end up here. So today’s post is dedicated to all the shows that are not on Netflix. Basically it’s a list of favourites by other streaming sites like Amazon Prime and Apple TV+, plus other places like HBO and a few regular broadcasting network shows too (I know, I’m surprised as well).
You know that feeling when something’s so perfect that you just hate it. Yeah, there’s a word for love and frustration all rolled in one – it’s “ugh”. And you know what usually makes me grind out that word, beards. Really good beards. Because no matter how closely I look, or how many times I inch towards that screen, that beard is not as close to me as it should. And yes, this is a lust post – enjoy!
I’m starting this week off by bringing you ten book to movie adaptations that I thought worked wonderfully. All these books are okay, some are actually very good, but others simply aren’t as strong. The point of the Top 10 list is that the movies were better than books. Yes, I love some adaptations a bit more than the books and that is rare. By the way, I’ve been reading less books lately, so if you have any recommendations to me (to get out of the reading slump) feel free to leave those in the comments!
Ranking music has always been a great struggle for me (ranking anything is hard to be honest). It still is so don’t expect this list of favourite live performances to be a walk in the park for me. But I wanted to have something different during this 10 days and I figured a music break will fit perfectly! Since songs are so hard for me to rank, I figured live performances of songs I love will be a lot easier to muster. I was of course wrong but hey, at least I tried. Here are 10 of my favourite live performances I’ve seen that blew my mind.
I’m addicted to TV-shows. That’s such an obvious statement but it’s the truth. I also love to ship characters and sometimes my favourite couples just don’t work out. So today for 10 For 10 I want to share 10 TV couples who I think deserved better. In other words, I think these shows messed up and I don’t like it. Mostly because these couples weren’t the end game and I wanted very much them to be.
Happy birthday to Mettel Ray! My blog-baby is 10 years old today and I couldn’t describe my emotions even if I tried. It’s definitely a special day! Which is why I decided, due to the special occasion, that instead of just celebrating my blogiversary on May 1st, I’d prolong the celebrations to last for 10 days. That’s right, you’re getting 10 days of Mettel Ray Top 10 lists. It will be all very random, just like me, and the topics will range from movies, shows, music, books etc. First up, probably the hardest list I had to compile because there are a lot of movies I rewatch… but here are 10 movies that I love to go back to every now and then.
