We are back at it again with Thursday Movie Picks. This is my fifth full year participating this wonderful series created by Wandering Through the Shelves and I don’t plan to stop yet. If you also want to participate you can find the 2021 list of themes here! As you can see from the title there’s an added theme going on in 2021, Oscar Winners. It will be definitely a difficult theme for me to navigate but let’s give it a go, shall we!? First up we have Best Picture winners.
“Talking about that little prick called Eagle. Eagle loves competition because for someone to win, someone has to lose. But the paradox is that true art, true individual expression as all the work of these incredible fellow filmmakers, can’t be compared, can’t be labeled, can’t be defeated, because it exist and our work will only be judged, as always, by time.“

For my first review of 2015, I’ll try to write about Birdman. This isn’t going to be as complex and interesting as the movie itself because that would be impossible for me to achieve. Instead, I’m going to praise its aspects that stood out without any spoilers because I went in almost completely blind and it blew me away!
Took me forever but it’s finally here, the list of my Top 15 favorite movies from 2014! As you know, I was struggling with it, I was certain some movies just had to be on it before I finished it. Then, I had to change 10 to 15, and this is the end result to hours and hours of brain cracking. Eventually, I also decided on a different favorite movie of 2014 than I had originally thought. In other words, this list is as full of surprises for me as it might be for you!
Here is the final list for the 2014 in Retrospect series!
