Well, how about these eventful times, eh? Anyone feeling anxious, panicked, worried – well, you’re definitely not alone. The corona pandemic has made its way to almost every country. Including mine, Estonia, which is super tiny with only 1,3 million people and has already over 200 infected (as we know of). Statistically we are not doing so great. Thankfully I have the option to work from home but I can just imagine how stressful it is for those who can’t go to work right now. Sending you all the best and let’s just stay healthy and get this virus contained! In the light of these events and being stuck at home for a while (as if I don’t do that on a regular basis), I decided to share my current favourite HBO shows. Everyone’s been loving on Netflix but HBO deserves some love too!
It’s been a hot minute since I sat down and wrote a review. It has been so long I feel like I don’t even know how and where to begin. And it has been quite a while since I saw this movie so… let’s see how it holds up! I’ll start with the simplest of ways. I did not love It Chapter Two. The movie had its moments, some of which will forever remain my favourite, but overall, the magic the first chapter had wasn’t recreated.
Well, well, well. It was an important day for television yesterday, when the Emmy awards were given out to the best of the best. I did not watch the Emmy award show itself but I did read through the list of winners, and spent way too long staring at those daring red carpet looks. So I figured I’d talk a little about it and share some of my thoughts about this year’s Emmy awards.
With movies like The Skeleton Twins, one hopes for something great but as the negativity in reviews crawled around the corner, I set my exceptions low. But how low can you go when you have comic veterans Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader on screen doing something out of their comfort zone? Apparently not low enough for The Skeleton Twins to shine.
