It’s that time of the year again, where I have to shake up my brain and remember all the non-English films I have seen. Turns out, since these past few years I haven’t had the pleasure to mention them, I have a few French movies to recommend.
Since November has ended, it’s finally my turn to start Breaking Emotions before the Blogathon deadline drops on the 16th of December – and as you can see, I’m cutting it close and therefore tackling 2 weeks worth of emotions at once! For those who haven’t yet participated, or this is the first time seeing this Blogathon at all, check out this page for a little bit of information and start breaking those emotions.
I’m going to quote IMDb and say: “The big day is finally here!” but I don’t really care for all that buzz that’s going on. Firstly because it’s going to be pretty late (for me) when the show is on and I have never watched it live. Secondly, I can never say which actor deserves it better and which movie is worth more – I think you could say that I haven’t developed my award-sensitive nose yet. Despite all of that, I’m still going to list ALL nine Best Picture nominations in my Top 9 – some of it is based on ratings, but most of it highly based on my own subjective taste and opinions.

By pure coincidence, I’m listening to Scala & Kolancy Brothers version of Nothing Else Matters and I can’t help to suddenly feel like I should avoid writing up this review because I will be an emotional wreck by the end. Still, it’s going to be hard to write about Amour a week from now, two weeks or even further in the future due to its ability to crawl under my skin each time I think back at its plot, punch me in my heart and make me cry like a god damn baby!
