I have been quite lazy with posting trailer posts because I have been lazy at watching them. Honestly, I have spent most of my days going through a White Collar marathon and the rest of today I was trying to detox from it. Can’t wait for season 4! There would be a lot of other things I would like to talk about but I am certain that it would make it a rather unfocused post and I do not appreciate those – would you?
Silver Linings Playbook is a movie that I am conflicted with based on its casting. While I adore Jennifer Lawrence and her ability to stay true to herself in the ever so cruel Hollywood celebrity scene, I don’t like Bradley Cooper as much. So basically, the main cast is conflicted in my mind and what I see based on the trailer, Cooper could have a chance to turn than conflictedness (that’s not a word but I’m gonna go with it like a boss) into a positive emotion. Good luck, Bradley!
The movie is of course based on a novel, what seems to be a popular thing with me – I always go for the book based movie, they seem more complete and the plot is well thought off. In case you were wondering, it is a serio-comic novel (apparently this is short for a serious book that has some comedy in it – look at that, I learned a new word today), it has the same name and the author is Matthew Quick. The director of the movie is David O. Russell and if that doesn’t say much, well, he directed the awesome Three Kings (1999) and I Heart Huckabees (2007). I don’t know about you, but I liked both of those but I’m again in between with his latest work The Fighter (2010).
To be honest, I think I will enjoy this movie. It seems dark and filled with black humor, a little bit of Robert De Niro doesn’t hurt and Jennifer Lawrence looks to be amazing as always. Now all I have to do is wait until it’s released in November 21st and maybe I’ll even make it to the cinema to watch it.
PS: I accidentally read a post of it and it mentioned an Oscar possibility.. I am not sure but considering that Russell “has” two of them in his pocket with The Fighter, who knows. Me on the other hand, would prefer a nomination for Lawrence for sure, Cooper better bring it and I’ll see what I’d give him.

I’m really satisfied with this first trailer. I really had little idea of what the film was about other than who was involved. Wonder if it will lead into more drama than comedy though.
I would assume it borderlines black humor..which would mean it is funny dramatic. But that’s what I recon from the trailer.
