I just love to act. It’s my favorite thing to do in the world, and what keeps it interesting to me is the creative challenge.

Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt

17. February 1981

2 Golden Globe nominations

The only poster on my wall is the ever my favorite romantic comedy (500) Days of Summer. Hands down the best I’ve seen in years and not just because of Joseph Gordon-Levitt who actually prefers to be called Joe or now as my boy (I like this nickname..it makes me sound a bit crazy but I like it). After 10 Things I Hate About You and 3rd Rock from the Sun he kind of disappeared from the spot light just to study and do off the radar indie stuff (which he still does, thing I like about him a lot) and then returned big time! Hit after hit, he still has many projects coming that are already on my watch list. And yes, I know a lot about him because I’ve been a fan for a long time and because I will continue to be because he can’t do wrong in my eyes.

Favorite movies:

(500) Days of Summer, Inception, 50/50, 10 Things I Hate About You (not listed on images), The Dark Knight Rises,

Notable performances:

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, 3rd Rock from the Sun

Haven’t seen yet (shame on me):

Brick, Mysterious Skin, Elektra Luxx

What makes Joe so awesome in my eyes is that he started this project/site Hit Record which gives endless possibilities to various artist (illustrators, writers, singers etc) to create something together. Connecting talent in other words and I think it is kind of cool that he uses his talent and celebrity to promote and enhance the culture in such ways. One of my favorite interviews of him is actually my all time favorite interview (as of now) – I think it has to do with him speaking French.

And some more eye candy because I want to… and if you want more just search videos of him singing. There’s a lot of great stuff out there and to make myself sound even a bigger stalker, I’ve seen about 98% of his stuff.

  • Really like this guy. He was awesome in TDKR and gave great performances in 500DoS and 50/50. He has this charming, likable presence and that is quite rare in Hollywood.

  • Joe’s a cool guy. I’ve done some work with HitRecord, and I think he has so much talent. His performance in 50/50 was one of my favorites of 2011, though he’s had a lot of great performances. Seek out a copy of Brick ASAP – it’s one of his best, in my opinion.

    • Getting to Brick and Mysterious Skin at some point but sadly, I’m afraid my school will keep me busy for this semester. I’ve tried to do something for HitRecord but I’m talentless. 😀

      • I understand. School’s going to keep me pretty busy too. Hopefully we’ll still have time for at least a few movies. 🙂 I’ve mostly contributed photos to HitRecord so not much of my stuff has been used in any of the big collaborations, but I do have a credit on the documentary on the Inception bluray! It’s just cool to interact with so many talented folks on there and see what they come up with.

        • Wow! That is cool! And yeah, I like the idea behind it very much. So let’s hope that school doesn’t keep our motivation to create things away from our minds and we’ll be able to write our blog and other stuff!
