commercialbreak57Last week was filled with work again but it’s all for a good cause. In the following four days I will travel to Finland and back, attend my first concert abroad, attend another concert in Estonia, go to my doctor’s appointment and meet up with a fellow movie lover/blogger. So a super exciting week is ahead of me!

Β LIFE

I have less than an hour to write this post so I’m going to keep this simple – this week is going to be awesome! Like I already mentioned, lots of cool stuff happening and even though my week is packed, I’m still going to post at least three posts! Like, that’s crazy. I can’t believe I managed to do this because I worked so much last week.

MOVIES

I actually watched a movie, not in the theater though, so still going through that difficult period of my life BUT I saw It Follows. It was pretty great. I wasn’t very thrilled to watch it, but turns out, it wasn’t that scary scary, it was just eerie and creepy. Also, and I think this has been said before, it’s like a prevention movie for sexually admitted disease. Which I don’t mind.

No idea when I will finally make it to the cinema but man, I really want to see The Light Between the Oceans and maybe something a bit grittier as well. I already missed out on Bridget Jones’s Baby this year, I can’t miss anything else. This is becoming ridiculous.

TV SHOWS

For once, I think I’m on track with everything important. Westworld’s latest episode has to wait until Thursday though. And the shows that will come out in the following two days might have to wait as well because I won’t be bringing my computer to Finland. Also, I’m continuously adding shows to my Fall / Winter TV Schedule and it’s now so long! So many new shows that I’m watching because, honestly, so many good shows!

Newest obsession is Eyewitness which is a series adapted from a Norwegian TV show and I already know how good those Scandinavian shows can be (The Killing)! My roommate said that it was too gray, which is funny, because I think the general coloration of serious drama/crime shows is gray with not much color, I mean, True Detective was pretty bleak. It’s a thing people, so I found it funny when my roommate didn’t appreciate the grays.

BOOKS & MUSIC

Read two YA books and still haven’t finished Frankenstein – this month is really kicking my butt in so many ways. Haven’t made it to the cinema, haven’t read anything horror related because I can’t seem to get through one horror book. October is becoming the oddest month of the year!

But can we just talk about the fact that in less than 36 hours I will have watched LIVE a band behind Heathens, Lane Boy, Stressed Out and many many more!? Not many have heard of Twenty One PilotsΒ but thank god I have because I’m fairly certain that their live show will be freaking amazing!

  • Thank you again for featuring me! And OMG you have to let me know how Twenty One Pilots is! Ahh I’m so excited for you to finally be able to see them live!!!!

    • I’ll probably write a post about it. (A). And I’m seeing Biffy Clyro on Thursday AND Daniel Sloss on the 7th of November! These next few weeks are going to be awesome! πŸ˜€

      • Ahh I can’t wait to read it! It sounds like you’re going to have a great couple of weeks! πŸ˜€ Have fun!!

    • It was amazing!!! I wish we had been standing in the pit instead of sitting. I had no idea the guys went among the fans so much! They walked back and wort in front of us, man, I wish I was sitting in that first row. I could have beeen soooooooooooooooo close!!!!

      • The first time I saw them it was a general admission venue but there was just wayyyy too many people. The whole venue was a pit and I’m relatively short so it wasn’t the greatest experience for me, but their performance was so amazing I didn’t even care haha! Haha! I wanted to mention their crowd interaction, but it was such an awesome surprise for me that I didn’t want to ruin it for you! πŸ˜›

  • Oh it sounds like this week is going to be amazing for you! I hope you get to go to the cinema soon, I’d love to read your thoughts on The Light Between the Oceans. I really want to see it but I don’t think I’m gonna have the chance, I have a feeling it won’t last long at my local cinema.

    • I hope I get to the cinema soon as well. That would be like the perfect week if I’d manage that but I probably won’t so.. oh well. Have to be satisfied with the concerts. πŸ˜€

  • twenty one pilots – those boys are freaking amazing in Live! you will for sure enjoy their show πŸ™‚ I saw them on the begining of this year, and now i am counting day down as on 5th Nov i am going to see them in Vienna πŸ˜€ Super exciting πŸ™‚

  • I loved It Follows. One of my favorites from last year. I don’t know much about Twenty One Pilots but they were great when they performed on SNL. And Heathens is very catchy.

    Thanks for the link!

    • I’m trying to wrap my thoughts around It Follows and maybe I will get a review up as well. And Twenty One Pilots is awesome. They are amazing live and they really delivered a performance no other!

  • Yay I’m excited for tomorrow! I’m going to see The Light Between Oceans tomorrow night since it isn’t playing in Finland for some reason. Thanks Tallinn!

  • It Follows was great, Maika Monroe is so good in it, a shame she followed it up with that crappy Moretz sci-fi and Independence Day sequel

    • Oh yes, the Independence Day sequel… I think I wiped that one out of my mind because for a second, I didn’t remember she was in it. Good thing too, otherwise I would have had this thought in my head during It Follows and it would have been exhausting.

  • Thank you for linking my post! The premiere was super tough, so that one was written well in advance. πŸ˜› Hope you get a chance to see The Light Between Oceans! I missed it in theaters but hope to see it on-demand. Michael, Rachel, and Alicia can rarely do anything wrong. πŸ™‚
