Commercial Break #46

Every week I promise reviews, and then every other day I sit down, and I’m like, I’ll watch Masterchef Australia and after it’s done, I’ll write a review. Two hours later, oh man, that Nashville episode was pretty good.

LIFE

Woke up on Thursday morning and one of my eyes was swollen pretty bad. Turns out, I have an unidentified allergy and now I have to use eye-drops three times a day for a week. Plot twist: I dislike putting anything into my eyes so, I’m enjoying myself immensely right now. Also, it’s been almost four days, and still no progress. Every morning my eyeball is swollen and it’s getting on my nerves now.

Not to mention, just weeks ago I also fell up the stairs (yes, that’s exactly what I meant), and bumped my chin pretty hard. Then in the beginning of the week, a small bottle left me a pretty bruise. I think I’m cursed.

Also feeling a bit low these past few weeks. Sometimes it just feels like the world is out to get you, even though everything’s actually just fine. Well, it happens, and I just need to get over it.

MOVIES

Went to see Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and liked it a lot. Part of the appeal were for sure Adam DeVine and Zac Efron, both of whom I love! The comedy had a lot of great physical reactions, it wasn’t about verbal insults, as much, and it was fun.  And Adam has such a wide range of screams!

Not going to lie, I’m going to see the new Tarzan movie this week as well. I mean, I’m not going to miss seeing the Skarsgard  shirtless movie on a big screen, I mean, that would be stupid.

Also, I’m super SUPER behind with my reviews now, and at this point, and I’m trying to get all of the reviews done so I can post them soon. And then I keep watching new movies, and the pile just keeps growing. There’s just no winning with this situation.

TELEVISION

Stumbled on this totally weird little series called Letterkenny. It’s utterly ridiculous, and the creator and the actor of the series, Jared Keeso, has the most deadpan delivery I’ve ever seen. It’s awesome. Go, Canada!

And for the fun of it, I watched a little bit of Shadowhunters the other day. It’s so bad, it’s truly the saddest thing on TV, but I’ll be damned if I don’t watch the second season. I’m too invested in some of the characters to give up now.

Also still watching Nashville and hearing the news about it continuing is great! I just want all my ships to happen and burn with a steady flame.

BOOKS & MUSIC

Going to finish The Mortal Instruments series this Summer. Finished the third one, currently reading the fourth book, then head on to American Gods, and then pick up the fifth one after that. So a lot of plans for July in terms of reading because I want to tackle some big books before August.

If you haven’t listened to Kid Cudi‘s new song Goodbye, you’ve been missing out. It’s amazing.
