# 19 – House MD

Last night I watched the last episode of the season, well.. what the hell happened? I am happy for House for sure, finally he gets some(!), but the ending for me was so cut off from the rest of the episode that it seemed entirely a new show. The situation with them two hasn’t been on the edge like for instance with Booth and Bones so I guess the writers just wanted to write them together but the way they did it..

Cuddy: “I love you. I don’t want to, but I do.” – Now she tells him!? She got engaged just last night and then she decides to tell House that, hey, I love you! Well, okay, I can live with that – maybe.

House has always been this depressed mad man who says what ever comes to his mind, what now? He becomes a happy familyman (Cuddy has a kid!) and starts to smile and be nice to people? God, I hope love doesn’t brake  House !

# 18 – Everwood

By a miracle I remembered that I had forgotten to add Everwood to my list of TV-shows that I have seen, so I did that and in addition to that I decided to watch it all over again. God I love it when I remember something that I forgot and I get something really good out of it – study-breaks have now got a new meaning to them (although there are many other shows I would like to watch also).

The reason why I enjoy Everwood is that I don’t really remember much about it, I watched it with my mother, I remember some specific things about it but I think I just missed the first part of the first season and that is the reason I don’t remember the things that are happening in it. I have only watched the first 4 episodes but I already remember why I liked the show – Ephram Brown! Yeah, this might seem as a teenage crush thing I have going on but let me just specify – I HAD a teenage crush thing going on! Plus, I like to reminisce on shows that were part of my Saturday nights with my mom, oh, the simpler times… Plus there are so many familiar faces, there is Emily VanCamp (Brothers and Sisters), Sara Drew (Gray’s Anatomy), Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives) and Sarah Lancaster (Chuck) from all the shows that are running at this time.

While I am trying to study (write my semi-final-paper) I find Everwood very relaxing and I hope I get to watch the whole series during the summer when all the shows are at their brakes. Put also I’d like to not spend so much time indoors – a dilemma I face every day!

# 17 – Brothers and Sisters

The last episode of season 4 just ran before my eyes and I was in tears at the end – Robert is dead! Those who don’t know would not care but I have been watching the show ever since it aired and I care, I care a lot. My surprise was due to me not knowing that Rob Lowe (he plays, I mean played, Robert McCallister) was leaving the show, something that was known for a while I presume. That aside, I bet nobody knew that Saul had HIV! Seriously, he is an old gay man who doesn’t have anybody except his family and now the writers give him HIV – what a treat. That reminds me that Kitty, who has survived cancer now has to survive the loss of her husband – they keep tormenting the characters that deserve better! At least Sarah got her French man to stay with her and Kevin is expecting a child with Scotty – if they mess up their lives I’ll be mad.

Other than that I think that the show is doing well, the drama is still there (obviously with a season finale like that) and there are some other new interesting things coming on the show (addition to death, HIV and a new baby). Ojai Foods that was a big part of the family has now been eliminated and a new water business is getting its start – I hope they don’t start drinking water instead of wine. There is the Justin going to Haiti and leaving Rebecca behind with her new job, Scotty and Saul are opening a restorant and a question that first comes to mind, will Kittys’ campaign go on after Roberts’ death? And also, what about Tommy – he has now been absent for so many episodes and just makes random appearances – does he get new story-lines or is he left behind while the Walker family drama continues as usual? Well all that has to be put to rest until the fifth season starts in September – I can’t wait!

# 13 – Bones

Since I haven’t posted anything in a while I thought that it is about time I talked about Bones. It’s running on its 5th season and has a 8,4 rating in IMDb so I guess people like the show – why should I think differently, huh?

I recently watched (out of curiosity) the pilot again, just to see what I had forgot – do you remember how much Bones is actually changed? She has become more closed and afraid of the feelings that us, mere humans have, and that started to bug me. Everybody who is a fan of the show knows that the 100th episode was a shocker – in many ways. They showed the first case Bones and Booth had and then they made them both cry because Booth wanted to try but Bones wasn’t ready to change. Well, what the hell is she thinking? I get the fact that the show would have a whole new vibe when they get together and the writers don’t want to dance the “audience wants it, we’re gonna give it to them” dance that lots of shows do.

I mean, the Bones and Booth thing has been hovering over our heads for so long that I don’t even remember when it started, but now I’m just mad. Okay, not mad, but deffinitely annoyed – I get that Bones is a little closed-up and has issues with expressing human emotion, but it is Booth for God sakes?! And the last episode, Angela and Hodgins, married!? Well, I guess the writers are trying to get our minds of the B&B situation and postpone their big get together (its gonna happen, it’s gonna happen even when it is the last episode of the series).

So this was the whole who loves who, who has to be with who – as you know the series is about death and bones and maggots – and they try to keep things fresh with new deaths and stuff but I still think that they can never top the Zack moment (he helped a serial killer!) – I still think that that was the most shocking thing that has ever happened. (Okay, Booth getting the brain tumor was also bit scandalous but it aired about the same time House had his meltdown so I was thinking “not with the hallucinations again!”.) I mean, Zack was the cutest thing ever, and then he turns out to be a “killer” – it will forever remain in my mind and it is the second thing I remember when I think about Bones (Bones and Booth is obviously the first).

Other than that, I think that Bones is at the top of my favorite criminal shows, Criminal Minds is close behind and then it was The Mentalist at third place, but the second season kind of got boring so there is no third place. And CSI (all three of them) was also once at the top but now I don’t even watch those anymore. So basically I watch 2 criminal shows out of so many that are running and catching criminals left and right – keep it simple when it comes to criminals.

# 8 – TVD 1×20

Spoilers ahead. Let me clear out that I have been a fan of Damon’s since the first episode, so to see his good side come out in these last episodes is quite refreshing. Also, it’s absolutely wonderful that Stefan the I’m-such-a-good-vamp is not so good at all and like it turns out in this episode, he was the one that lured Damon into the dark. Elena and Damon should do something together again, I like their sarcastic vibe when they talk. Some shockers, Pearl died – too bad for Anna but good for Jeremy cause now Anna stays? And should I even mention the big finish, this would’ve been even bigger if it happened at the end of the season – you know what I mean – Elena’s vampire mom is back – hello, Isabel!

# 5 – Vampires

Vampires – they have been around for a while but it seems that it all went BOOM when Twilight managed to crawl into the minds of the teens. So here’s a short list of TV-shows and movies that are about vampires – the list of course is based on my own knowledge (it means I have seen them all).

Buffy – I remember seeing that show on TV but earlier this year I decided to watch it from the beginning (oh the special effects) and I must say: I LOVE IT! I would like to think that Buffy is the grand-mother of all the vampires that have come after her, the show is funny (not just because the quality of the special effects) and it has Spike! But the fun part I think is what appeals to me the most, making fun of the apocalypse and the dead – where else can you find such a fine portion of sarcasm and true irony.

Angel – I’ve seen the 5th (the last) season and to be honest, I watched it because of Spik. But like in Buffy, Angel too has some humor and great characters, so those who like Buffy will like Angel as well. But let’s admit, Buffy came first and because of that will remain first.

Twilight – I read the book, I liked the book, I saw the movie and now I have only hate left for the Twilight saga. This is all I have to say about this movie at the moment.

Interview with a Vampire – THIS IS A REAL MOVIE! If all those Twilight fans would just admit to the same fact, I’d be happy, because Brad Pitt is ten thousand times better than Robert Pattison.

The Vampire Diaries – While Buffy had Spike, TVD has Ian! At the moment I specially enjoy the Stephan going bad story-line that is going on and I can’t wait to see some drama between the brothers when Elena gets her hands on Damon (it will happen, I promise!).

The Vampire Assistant – this movie ended in the strangest note and there isn’t anything specific I remember of it, so I guess it wasn’t very good.

Supernatural – Okay, I’m cheating a little bit because Supernatural isn’t about vampiers but there was at least one I can remember (Dean saying: “Eat it, Twilight!”).

True Blood – also based on a book like most of the shows and movies nowadays (except for Buffy, Angel and Supernatural) and I have only seen the first 4 episodes or something. I didn’t enjoy it and I actually don’t care about it, so I’m just gonna name it.

Blade – oh, Wesley Snipes as a vampire, OK action movie (I think there are 3 and I mean the last one which has Ryan Reynolds in it).

Van Helsing – Hugh Jackman, should I say more?

So these are the ones that come to my mind, I think that there could be some that I have missed but I hardly think that they are worth mentioning later because if I can’t remember them now, then they don’t deserve remembering. I have to admit, every show/movie gives vampires a whole new meaning. TVD has magic rings, Twilight vampires sparkle! – but one thing they have in common is that they seem to make vampiers look hot! I mean, they have been dead for years, but they still look like something out of a dream – Blade and Van Helsing not so much but Spike and Ian can’t be everywhere, right?

NB: There is even a book for this kind of a addiction I might say, “How to date a Vampire” – sure, I want to know, but my question is, how to find one since they are fiction and all.. Guess I have to write my own book about vampires – it’s the new IT- thing I’ve heard.

# 4 – One Tree Hill

So this is actually a request from a friend who I inflicted with the OTH bug many years ago. I have to admit, and I’m very sorry Mark, I haven’t watched One Tree Hill in a long time. It all started with the 5th season, I felt disconnected from the characters due to the big leap in time – and it made me miss the first season.

1-4 seasons were (and actually still are) my favorite – then came the 5th which I didn’t love any more, the 6th was painful and I haven’t even watched the 7th. All those who still are fans of the show, please tell me, what do you like about it, because I don’t see a reason to watch it. Payton and Lucas went away, Dan is STILL alive (and out of prison!), Nathan is cured (miracles happen to that man more than once) – it seems that the show is about dreams becoming true but at the same time the whole show seems now to be like a bad dream (nanny Carrie !!). And for a cruelty in the world of TV-shows, One Tree Hill in my opinion has survived far to long.

NB: There is a plan to do a short and a lot more positive post about this show, since I was a big fan during the beginning of the show and I got so much good out of it – so stay tuned.

# 2-Glee

First of all, I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan of Glee (there are other TV-shows that I’m more excited about), but I must say that my time was well spent when I watched the Madonna episode (season 1 episode 15). I don’t know if it was because of Madonna or Glee’s amazing cast and writers but I’d give that episode 4 stars out of 5!

The Glee madness begun almost a year ago, when the pilot was aired on May 19th on FOX – it was September 9th when they returned and delivered again to their fans. And it seems Glee is all about the long waiting, because after the 13th episode aired it took another 4 months until the next episode aired. I must admit, I was one of those who waited all those times just so I can hear them sing a pop or an old-school rap song – nor am I forgetting the story-lines of the characters.

I read yesterday that the show is created by the same guys who brought us Nip/Tuck (which I thought was amazingly weird because the two shows seem to be utterly different) and  the other shocker for me was that Kurt wasn’t originally a character at all and it was created especially for Chris Colfer after he tried out for Artie’s role. Isn’t that nice, one of the most likable characters in the show is actually based on the actor himself which shows that the creators were looking for REAL people to play REAL people.

And this is actually the vibe I get from the show, the fact that Finn can’t really dance seems awkward but it works, that Rachel seems too “something” and that Will makes mistakes – gives me a feeling that those are people (not perfect characters).

NB: I’m really looking forward to see Neil Patrick Harris on Glee – I heard his character will be some what bad but I know I’ll love him no matter what!
