Can’t say this is my first time announcing my participation in the Blind Spot series created by Ryan over at The Matinee. Back in 2014 I found this and thought, here is something I should do, and I stuck with it for two months. Yes, I was that successful! But I did have a guest appearance in Ryan’s podcast which was one of the first cool things I did back then! Well, I’m giving it another go and hopefully, 2018 is going to be the year I succeed!
For my Blind Sport list I wanted to have a mixture of classics and a few must haves from recent years. There is also one ambitious month (inspired by Brittani) where I plan to watch all three movies in The Before Trilogy (yes, I haven’t seen any of them). There are a lot of good movies in this list (I’m pretty sure of that), and I have been a very bad movie lover for not having seen them. But you know how I am with those classics, I just stay away from them out of experience. So this will be definitely a mission impossible type of thing for me but let’s hope Tom Cruise will inspire me to succeed.
Here are my BlindSpot 2018 picks:

January 2, 2018 at 6:41 PMHave fun watching. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly is great (as is another brilliant one Once Upon a Time in the West). The Before trilogy is well worth watching and I’m curious as to your thoughts on the various ones. I won’t give you mine now.
Enjoy all your selections and oh…Happy New Year!

January 2, 2018 at 7:24 PMI haven’t seen the Before trilogy, either. I need to. I have seen all the rest of your picks and love all of them except one. I’ll wait for your thoughts on it before I give you mine. Good luck!

January 3, 2018 at 8:13 PMBrick is the only one I haven’t seen but it’s on my watchlist. I loved all of the others but 2001: A Space Odyssey. I really hated that movie. Good luck!

January 5, 2018 at 1:04 PMI have had Brick in my watchlist for ages, hence its appearance here. I felt like I needed to put a few fresh ones into the mix.
Well, I already know it’s over 2h long, so who knows what I’ll think of 2001, I usually dislike LONG movies. 😀

January 19, 2018 at 10:11 PMAhh I found it! Okay, let’s see.
Curious to hear your thoughts about 2001😉
As I said, you’ll breeze through the Before trilogy – watch it for valentine’s! Or Casablanca, that was my first classic movie!
The Shinning is so good – but a bit slow, be ready for that.
I wish I could see Goodfellas and Taxi Driver for the first time again, might just be time to rewatch them! A Clockwork Orange, I can’t tell if you’ll like it, very curious to see what you think. The Graduate is great too, I think you’ll like it.
Shame on me, haven’t seen Boogie Nights and I think I’d love it. And dear god, The Good The Bad and The Ugly – I’ve had it in my blind spots for years until I just gave up. 😂 I feel bad about that. Who knows? Maybe we’ll love it.

January 19, 2018 at 10:25 PMoh what the hell, if you’re brave I can be brave too – I’m keeping The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Probably my December blind spot 😅

January 20, 2018 at 12:36 PMOh well 2001 thoughts are on your way, just a week and a half to go!
I think I was mentally prepared for slow movies.. like, most classics tend to be on the slow side for me so I’m ready. Ready and willing to defeat this challenge this year!
I have hear A Clockwork could go either way, so let’s see, I’m curious to see what my opinions on these movies end up being.
And if I will be able to watch The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, so will you!!
