Ho ho ho, it is that time of the year again! I’m currently most likely snuggled up in a warm blanked, reading, drinking coffee or tea, and enjoying the holidays. But I also have a lot of free time to post, and when I saw Katy over at Oh So Geeky post this lovely challenge, I had to participate as well!
Advent Calendar: Traditions you celebrate during December?
Funny little thing though, I don’t really have any traditions in December except having an advent calendar. My Christmas lights are up all year around, and I don’t usually have a Christmas tree nor a branch, so no decorating traditions either.
Carols: What’s your favourite song(s)?
Not much of a seasonal themed song lover but Wham!’s Last Christmas is a song that has been with me, unexpectedly, for years..
Coal: A naughty character you’d send coal to?
Such an unoriginal answer but Malfoy?!
Fireplace: Favourite Christmas movie that melts your heart?
Love Actually gets me every single god damn time! And even more so this year…
Gingerbread: What’s your favourite holiday snack?
Uhm, chocolate because, chocolate all year around, baby!
Hot Cocoa: What’s your favourite drink?
Always coffee, but I love a cup of fresh peppermint tea as well!
Mistletoe: Character you’d like to meet under the mistletoe?
There are so many and it’s so hard to pick just one but I’m going to go with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) from Outlander – rawr!
Mittens: A cozy outfit that keeps you warm during winter?
An oversized sweater goes a long way during winter but I simply can’t live without my wool socks!
Naughty: Three characters who’d make the Naughty list.
Kaz Brekker (Six of Crows), Ronan Lynch (The Raven Cycle) and Deadpool.
Nice: Three characters who’d make the Nice list.
Hermione Granger, Buddy (Elf) and Phoebe Buffay.
North Pole: If you could spend Christmas anywhere (even fictional), where would you go?
Oh, Hogwarts, no competition here.
Presents: A book or movie on your wishlist?
Since I just received Crooked Kingdom from my flat mate, which had been on my wishlist for a while, I’d have to say The Raven Cycle series or the Falling Kingdoms series.
Rudolph: What’s your favourite TV holiday special?
Home Alone and Love Actually, but I don’t mind binge watching Friends during the holidays either.
Santa: A character you’d love to exchange presents with? What would you get them?
Monica Geller, because I feel like she would get me the perfect present, and at the same time, she would really love my gift: a big box of cleaning supplies.
Scrooge: A villain you’d help see life in a different way?
Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) from Kingsman: The Secret Service because then we can all avoid the devastating “death” of Harry Hart (Colin Firth).
Snowflake: Something that makes you feel special.
Little things, like finishing a good book or writing a review about a movie I really liked. Or discovering a Christmas card in the mailbox, or getting a hug on a really bad day.
Tree: What do you decorate your house with for the season?
Christmas lights mostly. This year I stuck golden winter themed stickers on my window and that made my whole room look a lot more festive.
Yuletide: The top 3 things in your life that make you the most happy?
A good book/movie, my friends and family, and that first cup of coffee of the day.
BONUS: Ugly Christmas Sweater: Would you wear a sweater Molly Weasley made you or avoid it like the plague?
Hell yeah I would wear it!! I’d wear it throughout the holidays and then some!
Thanks for participating in my challenge! I love your Monica Gellar answer – that’s so creative! How could I have missed Jamie to meet under the mistletoe?! *GAH* Hope you had a lovely Christmas! Peppermint tea sounds wonderful. I love peppermint coffee during the holidays, so delicious!
You’re welcome!
Peppermint coffee sounds great as well but I don’t like my coffee sweet so I usually stay away from fancy coffee shops and their syrups.
Oh how fun! Ok I’ll participate in a couple of them:
MISTLETOE: CHARACTER YOU’D LIKE TO MEET UNDER THE MISTLETOE?
Since you went with someone from Outlander, I’ll go w/ my French crush Stanley Weber who played the villainy Comte St Germaine in season 2: http://outlandishdram.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/21-600×400.jpg Even that French wig can’t dampen his hotness! 😉
PRESENTS: A BOOK OR MOVIE ON YOUR WISH LIST?
I’ve been dying to see Stanley’s French film L’Origine de la Violence https://vimeo.com/154836530 but w/ English subtitles. That’d make an outstanding Christmas present!! I seem to always love the obscure actors which makes life difficult, but ah well, you love who you love 😛
I haven’t seen the second season yet! My god, I need to soon, but I thought I wanted to read the book first and now I haven’t gotten to the book either.. this is just an endless struggle. 😀
