The remake of this 80’s movie (which I haven’t seen) with Will Smiths sonJaden  in the lead and Jackie Chan as his mentor. I will not say that I didn’t like it but I’m not thrilled either. I liked the soundtrack which was pretty good except maybe Justin Bieber (not a fan).

On a good side, Jaden Smith gave a pretty good performance and I believed it. He looked so cute and I was rooting for him the entire time. I watched his interview with Ellen the other day and he is really funny too, so all the funny scenes were extra believable because I knew he is really like that. And the dancing – sweet! The movie was a bit slow for my taste, it seemed that it was too long also. But as a whole it gave a good performance – based on this I’d give it 3 stars.

I don’t want to say a lot about the movie though, since its a remake I don’t now the entire context of the movie and this bugs me. So I’m thinking I’m gonna add the entire review here when I watch the old version, this will give me a good overview of the newer one because I’ve learned over the years of studying semiotics that you can’t give a decent review if you don’t know much. In this case, I need to know MORE! So hold your horses for an update.
