After a long period of time when I didn’t have enough cash on me to go to the movies I finally went with couple of friends and saw Hangover 2. First of all, I didn’t really expect a lot from it and my expectations where right – Hangover 2 is a quite lame try to do the “greatness” (I didn’t really care for it that much in the first place) of the first movie by basically using the same story-line and twists.
It all started with the fact that Stu (who probably is the funniest guy in the whole movie because he really doesn’t try to be funny – bad/funny things just happen to him) is getting married and his friends want to throw him a party. Things go wild (again) and they wake up with a massive hangover while not remembering anything. Lots of fun and searching and stuff and then they find the missing guy and the end.
There where couple of jokes that made me really laugh but overall the movie wasn’t something I’d watch again – reason being simple, they make the end too important. The fun part before is all forwarded to the end, where they try to find the guy who they eventually find. So what is the point of this movie? Basically it shows that you can drink yourself into a blackout and still end up loving life and the party they just had – what a great movie for the entire family it truly is. Based on this and the fact that this is the sequel, I’m giving it a 2 out of 5 – because poor Stu got f’d in the ass.
