Though I promised reviews and Sense8 posts, I’m now deviating from the plan by deciding to type up a quick one rather than not post at all today. And what’s better than sharing those 10 movies that I simply can’t wait to see this year as we have already surpassed the 6 month mark in 2015. What a year it has been and hopefully, what a year we will continue to have!
BONUS: Sisters 18th of December
I’m hesitant about every comedy, it doesn’t matter whether it’s Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, I always have my doubts. Still, I give these ladies the benefit of the doubt and wait secretly for this one to premier.
FOLLOW-UPS: The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2; Mission Impossible 5
All these areย more or less like must haves because I’ve watched the previous movies and it’s logical that I’d watch the follow ups.
Self/Less 10th of July
It caught my eye because of its sci-fi element and the fact that Ryan Reynolds has been on my good side for some time now. Besides, the rest of the cast is just as good or should I say Goode?! Oh yes, that’s pretty much a hardcore reason to watch Self/Less.
Ant-Man 17th of July
Sure, the premise is a little bit ridiculous with an ant-sized superhero but I completely understand the hype because I mean, it’s Marvel and it’s Paul Rudd. Pretty much two of my favorite things.
Trainwreck 17th of July
I’m not sure it’s going to be good, I’m not sure if I’m going to like it but I keep seeing the trailer and the more I watch it, the more I like it.
Southpaw 24th of July
After Gyllenhaal’s success with Nightcrawler I’ve been keeping an eye on his projects and Southpaw looks like an emotional one.
Fantastic 4 7th of August
Just to see if it does anything, or if it surprises with anything. Just to see if it’s worth it.
Everest 18th of September
Again, keeping an eye on Gyllenhaal. Besides the movie looks like a pretty good one, with a strong cast and for me, an appealing plot.
The Intern 25th of September
Nancy Meyers’ new movie and I’m excited. I love her movies because they have heart, and joy for everyone but especially for people who aren’t young and fabulous.
The Walk 2nd of October
Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s newest movie is about walking that line.. between the twin towers of the World Trade Center. The haunting teaser trailer is what caught my eye the most – amazing.
Crimson Peak 16th of October
Everybody’s keeping an eye on this one so I’m keeping my eye on this one.
The Martian 27th of November
This will be epic! If not, I’ll be so disappointed because I have high high hopes for this movie. And I think I want to re-read the book just to get myself even more excited.
What movies are you anticipating?

Great list. I’m with you on all of these. ..though I haven’t seen/heard anything about Everest.
And yes, I live under a rock. Without wifi.
Everest is only in my radar because Gyllenhaal and I mean, I won’t lie, I took out the IMDb new releases list to combine this because I can’t for the life of me remember everything I’m waiting forward to watch.
That’s easy, The Hateful 8 by Quentin Tarantino, Crimson Peak by Guillermo del Toro, The Revenant by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, and The Force Awakens.
I do wait for Tarantino and Inarritu but I’m 100% certain I won’t be able to see their movies in 2015 because they have limited releases but yes, I agree. The Force Awakens is something I can’t comment, I should watch the other movies first. ๐
No The Revenant? It’s Hardy ๐ Self-Less is sadly terrible, apparently :/
I think I would put it into 2016 because it’s limited in 2015 and I won’t be able to see it this year anyway.. :/ And it’s a shame about Self-Less.. I mean, Goode deserves so much better!!
The only film on my radar is Room. Brie Larson WILL win Best Actress for the film, you wait and see.
Oh, haven’t even heard of that one yet but I have high hopes for Larson, she is great!
I can’t wait for Trainwreck. It looks hilarious!
I’m here for almost all of this…especially Everest and Trainwreck!
Can’t wait to see Everest and Southpaw, hey double Jake G! I’m so impressed w/ Nightcrawler so looking forward to more of his work.
As for Self/Less, meh, not enough Goode for my liking.
No, I needed more Goode this year.. god darn it. This is depressing.
Nice list! I’m looking forward to a few of these two. Trainwreck, Southpaw, Mockingjay, The Walk, Crimson Peak. So many good things coming out.
Hopefully most of them will live up to their expectations!
Trainwreck is a lot of fun. If you’re a fan of Amy Schumer’s comedy, you’ll definitely like it. It’s far more her film than Apatow’s.
Im not a fan fan of her standup but I feel like together with a strong cast she comes off funny and I might enjoy it.
